An Update, Right on Time: A Really Happy Weekend

The site is back

The website was inaccessible for the past couple of days because it got hit by a DDoS attack. It was honestly disgusting, but luckily things are working normally again now, so it’s fine, hahaha.

That said, this post is for recording the happy part of these days, not the whole process of dealing with the attack.

Plans changed, and that made everything better

The original plan was to go out on Saturday afternoon, because Lele was supposed to have an exam that day. But the exam got canceled, so we ended up meeting on Friday instead. That alone already made me happy.

Finally wearing the dress

Seeing me in a dress was something Lele had been looking forward to for a long time, and this week she finally got her wish, hahaha.

She said it looked pretty good, just a little small. The zipper in the back wouldn’t go up, but at least I could still put it on. She even got to take pictures, and she was absolutely delighted.

A late-night hunt for photo stickers

We had planned to take photo booth pictures, but the first place we went to had already shut down. So I started looking for another shop. By then it was already around 9 at night, pretty late, and we were still out searching for a place that could do photo stickers.

Even after we got to the second location, it still took a long time to find the exact place. I was really anxious, because we had already agreed to do it. Sure, we could have left it for another day, but I really didn’t want to push it off.

To find that place, I asked five different people. In the end, thankfully, it wasn’t for nothing—we found it, and we got to take beautiful photos. I’ll only put two here, hahaha. They were from the same set, and there were 14 photos in total.

That same night, after we finished, Lele said we really should have recorded the whole photo-taking process on video beforehand. A tiny regret, but one we can fix next time.

I really didn’t want to give up on looking for it, especially because I wanted Lele to be happy. And once we found it, she was so excited. I can still remember the expression on her face 😁

Painting ceramics for three hours

This part probably should be called painting ceramics, not painting dolls. I already had one place in mind. We took a Didi there, and even the driver told us that spot had what we were looking for. After arriving, we still spent a little time searching, but compared to the photo booth, this place was much easier to find.

We painted for about three hours. It only cost 20 yuan, but we were genuinely so happy. More than anything, we really enjoyed the process of sitting there and painting together.

At the end, the shop owner even praised our work and said we painted really well. Honestly, fair enough—we were probably the people there who invested the most time in it.

Looking forward to the next time

I don’t know when we’ll go out together again, but when we’re not meeting, we still miss each other and look forward to the next time. And when we do get to be together, then we should just enjoy it fully and be happy.

Sometimes I’m clumsy with words, but I never mean anything bad by it. That day I made her cry twice, and I really hope I can fix that part of myself so we can get along even better.
